The new owners of the new Commodore put the pieces together of several independent projects to make new parts of Commodore 64. And offered for sale a new commercial product; the Commodore 64 Ultimate.

This is a computer that looks nearly identical to the original Commodore 64, it behaves in its default mode as a C64, has the original ports to connect and work with original hardware like tape data recorders and floppy drives.

The 'Ultimate' part is that its has additional software functionally and modern conveniences like usb ports, ethernet and Wifi.

It is a Commodore 64. It is nearly 100% compatible with the original hardware. But it has extra tricks under the hood.
